Beef Believers

There's nothing more delicious than an Estancia steak seasoned lightly with salt and cracked black pepper, grilled over a charcoal fire, and served with a salad of fresh organic greens. We believe that beef should be a part of everyone's diet. We know that everyone craves a great steak, no matter what their beliefs about eating animals. Our goal is to be the beef that even vegetarians recommend.

We love our animals and are always looking for ways to improve the taste and tenderness of the beef that comes from them. We are constantly fine-tuning and experimenting with our breeding program, our finishing grasses, and finding ways to make the animals suffer less on their last day.

Our dream is to produce Estancia beef from our ranches in California and Virginia, as well as from our ranches in Uruguay. We'll bring US-produced beef online when we can guarantee that food safety and animal welfare standards in the U.S. that are as stringent as those we employ in our Uruguay operation.

Less, Better Beef

We believe the answer to America's health problems isn't to stop eating beef entirely, but to eat better quality beef and less of it. No one really needs to eat a steak the size of a hat. Smaller cuts of grass-fed, pasture-raised beef is the answer. Meat-eaters don't need to choose between self-denial and obesity. Our goal at Estancia is to be the middle way, the healthy way, and the better way.
